Hi. I'm Kristie Koomler, the owner of Right of Way Dog Walking Co. I currently have three loves of my life, Rupert, Georgie and Luna.
I grew up in small town Indiana, and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to care for a variety of magnificent creatures, ranging from frogs to llamas. I have always had an amazing love and appreciation for every one of them.
Luna is a five-year-old Great Dane. She's one of those happy accidents who had been searching for her forever home, and found it with us!
Rupert is a six-year-old Great Dane. He’s a pound puppy from the Oregon Humane Society who I found on Petfinder.com. I mean, could you resist this mug? Biggest lap dog ever.
My Experience
I've cared for many different breeds and sizes of dogs, from one to 200 pounds. I have experience with aggressive, disabled and special needs animals. I would love to pet sit for your other critters as well. I am pet first aid & CPR certified.
Georgie is a seven-year-old Pit Bull who is a rescue from Los Angeles' Ruff Houzen Animal Rescue. He's a three-legged bundle of kisses.
My philosophy is to treat each pet as an individual, as if she were one of my own, and to provide the highest quality of service and care for you and your pet. I truly enjoy spending time with all of my clients, and they sure know it! For my clients' guardians, it means peace of mind knowing that their best friend is in experienced, compassionate hands.
I am currently apprenticing at Fuzzy Buddy's with Dana Mongillo, CPDT and I attend many positive training seminars and workshops, read often and educate myself in any way possible. I feel strongly that there is no other way to train your dog than with positive reinforcement training methods, whether it's basic manners, tricks, or working with unwanted behavior.
